I can't work out any correlation between these crashes but at certain times (appears to be random dialogue, as it's not happened in the same place twice) when trying to fast skip the text it will freeze on screen then display a full grey screen with a sad pixel face when it crashes.
The other issue I have run into is after some of these crashes, upon reloading the game, when entering the next "activity" be it brothel or story it will stop on 94/95 assets loaded and you can't do anything but quit out, any reload of that save afterwards will result in the same freeze.
Even happens with a downloaded version of the game.

If this is the case, the game may also not load in wifi networks with strict firewalls since they might block whoever's hosting your image (schools, workplace, etc)

0.11.0, 0.11.1, 0.11.2, 0.11.3, 0.11.4, 0.11.5 and then 0.12.0
