Roadmap Update

Good morning-afternoon-evening gamers! I've updated the roadmap for version 0.12.0 to include battle mechanic changes that I've been working on. I started updating the battle mechanics UI just for fun during my breaks and I feel like I've made it better and might as well just keep going and finish it. Roadmap

Battle Mechanics Update

The current battle mechanics have 6 girls on the screen in which you can drag clients to. What I dislike about this approach is that there are too many things going on and it's hard to add any extra buttons because then things get very tiny on the screen. Not good for mobile players. My issue when coming up with a new battle UI is that, players need to see what all 6 girls are doing in order to allocate clients efficiently. Let's take a look at what I came up with and then talk about the pros and cons.

Pros

  • Can assign more clients to one girl at a time
  • Less stuff going on at once
  • Buttons are easier to press
  • Bigger space for animations

Cons

  • Need to flip through girls to assign clients
  • Harder to know what girls have enough stamina
  • Easier to manage one girl instead of 6
  • Looking left and right is harder on the eyes than looking up and down

This new battle UI seems very hectic right now because the clients are getting fucked very quickly. If we move forward with this battle UI, I am going to heavily increase the health of both clients and the girls. Imagine if it took a minute to fuck a client. That would give you enough time to allocate clients to every girl without having to worry about the last girl finishing her job too quickly (although, Suki might do that.) My issue is that increasing the health of both clients and girls just sounds boring. Why would I want to wait a minute to fuck a client? Let's talk about it!

Ultimate Abilities

If we go down the "lots of health" route, we need the girls to have their own unique thing that helps out all of the other girls. Something the player is going to activate themselves that they need to be aware of to win the battle.

Queen - Lust

Queen's ultimate ability will be called Lust. During her ultimate, she will become the most desirable girl, making clients cum much faster. This would be the most powerful ultimate ability, and the most fitting for Queen because it will prevent any battles from taking too long as long as the player makes sure Queen's ultimate is always being generated.

Suki - Cum Slut

Suki's ultimate ability will be called Cum Slut. Suki's weakness is her stamina. It might only take her 15 seconds to make a client cum, but then she has to recover before moving on to the next one. While Suki's ultimate is activated, every client that cums on her will cum 3 times. Having cum on the girls is good because the girls can eat the cum to regain stamina during the battle. Suki being able to take on many guys and recover her stamina quickly will make her an unstoppable fucking machine until her ultimate runs out. Pair her ultimate up with cummer clients and she'll have enough cum on her body to take on any tough client without having to stop.

Esxea - Ignore

Esxea's ultimate ability will be called Ignore because she's going to forget she's even having sex. The goblin girls are so used to having sex all the time, they have infinite stamina. Tapping into this lore, Esxea's ultimate will heavily reduce her stamina loss, turning her into a sex toy until her ultimate runs out. Esxea is great for boss battles because you can have her fuck the boss while the other girls recover stamina.

Scarlett - Break Time!

Scarlett's ultimate ability will be called Break Time because the princess needs a break! Not only does she not want to have sex, she'll give a reason for every other girl not to have sex as well. During Scarlett's ultimate, all girls will recover their stamina faster. To not waste this ultimate, it's best if the player removes all clients off of the girls and then use Scarlett's ultimate.

A potentially different ultimate that I would like to implement for Scarlett is Whip. Scarlett's ultimate would automatically remove all clients off of every girl and she will whip them into place by making them jerk themselves off instead of having sex. The client's cum meter would go up for a few seconds, despite them not having sex. Which means the girls recover stamina and the clients gain cum %.

Ardura - Rage

Ardura's ultimate ability would be called Rage. Ardura's biggest weakness is her attack rate. To counter this, her ultimate would give her an attack rate boost, letting her pummel every client's cock (not with her fists) until they cum. This ultimate ability would have to be very short because if it lasted long, Ardura would be the most powerful girl on the team. I would like players to only use this ability against armored or high HP clients.

Natasha - Support

Natasha's ultimate ability will be called Support. Although Natasha loves to have sex, she's not the greatest at it. To help out the team, she can use her anatomy magic to increase all of the girl's body stats for the time being. Scarlett might only be used to fuck clients that want tits, but with Natasha's help, Scarlett can be assigned any type of client without having to worry about it being a big time sink (and I'm sure Scarlett would love being assigned more clients.)

Mod Tools

The goal is to have mod tools done next, but of course, creating mod tools is like really hard to do right. My new code is set up to be easily mutable by others, but the difficulty comes from having mods work with each other. If you install 10 mods, what order do they load in? Does one mod depend on another? What if someone is creating a mod that changes Queen's clothes, but they want to go back to the default? Changing something in the game is the easy part, the hard part is creating a tool that lets users go back and revert their changes.

As of right now, I have enough code in the game to let users create their own outfits and change existing outfits. You will be able to download each layer for the girl and modify them as you wish. Extra layers can be added as well, for example you can create your own outfit with 10 different variations of it.

Conclusion

I'm jumping back and forth between the mod tools and the battle mechanics, because developing one at a time gets boring after a while. Love the new battle screen!  During my play-through of the game I was really wishing that 1 girl could take multiple at a time.


One issue I foresee with this new one is if you plan on having more monsters like Nigel that switch their position during the fight.  If there are a bunch of monsters that are switching positions, it might be a hassle to keep checking if one switched.  A solution could be that they automatically dis-engage when they switch positions, so you will see it pop up at that top with the others when it is ready to switch?

Hey that switching idea is pretty good!! And also, check my latest dev log, I am going to let people assign 4 clients to a girl.
